INVITATION FOR BID
Sealed bids will be received by the Hardee County Board of County Commissioners at the County’s Procurement Office, 205 Hanchey Road, Wauchula, Florida 33873, until 2:00 PM (local time) on June 10, 2026. Any bids received after this deadline will not be considered. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure their bid is received by the designated time.
All bids shall be publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded at or after 2:00 PM in the County’s Capital Projects Conference Room on the same date. A submittal by facsimile or electronic mail (email) will not be accepted. Any response received after June 10, 2026 @ 2:00 PM local time shall not be accepted under any circumstances.
The County reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive any or all non-material irregularities and technicalities, to re-advertise for ITBs with or without changes in the scope of work, to award in whole or in part to one or more Bidders, or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the County.

PRE-BID MEETING A mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit will be held on May 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hardee County Capital Projects Conference Room, 205 Hanchey Road, Wauchula, Florida 33873. All bidders are required to attend.
QUESTIONS: The following shall be referenced on all correspondence and in the subject line of the email: “Invitation to Bid No. 26-009: MLK JR. Avenue Milling and Resurfacing.”
Any questions or requests for clarifications concerning this ITB shall be submitted in writing by email and directed to Niklaus C. Robertson-Calloway, Procurement Manager, 205 Hanchey Road, Wauchula, FL 33873; Fax: 863-773-0322; Email: bids@hardeecountyfl.gov.
All questions must be received no later than May 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM. All responses to questions/clarifications, if deemed necessary by the County, will be provided to all prospective Bidders either electronically, in writing, by mail, by facsimile, or in the form of an addendum, if applicable. No questions will be received verbally or after the deadline.
