PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the commencement of a 30-day review period pursuant to Section 166.045, Florida Statutes prior to a public hearing to be held by the Port Orange City Council on May 5, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 1000 City Center Circle, Port Orange, Florida at which time the City Council will consider final acceptance of an option contract for the purchase of the following described real property:
535 Locust Street, Port Orange, County of Volusia, State of Florida, more particularly described as:
Parcel No. 6341-04-03-0140
A portion of Lot 3-D, Elizabeth Bunch Grant, as per map recorded in Map Book 3, Page 128, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida; Begin at the Southeast corner of Lot 107, Powers Subdivision as per map recorded in Map Book 10, Page 138, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida; Thence South 06 degrees 00 minutes 15 seconds West along the extension of Locust Street a distance of 329.90 feet to a point in the South line of said Lot 3-D; Thence South 59 degrees 38 minutes 28 seconds West along the Southerly line of Lot 3-D a distance of 12.25 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 1-B Assessor's Sub of Lots 3 and 4, Section 4, Township 16 South, Range 33 East, Volusia County, Florida, as recorded in Map Book 3, Page 120, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida; Thence North 30 degrees 12 minutes 24 seconds West along the Easterly line of said Lot 1-B a distance of 300.98 feet to the Northwest corner of Bunch Grant, said point being on the Southerly line of Lot 106 of said Powers Subdivision; Thence North 59 degrees 48 minutes 31 seconds East, along the South line of Powers Subdivision a distance of 147.50 feet to the Point of Beginning. Together with that ingress/egress easement recorded in O.R. Book 3222, Page 861, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida.
A copy of this notice and the proposed contract are available for public inspection during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the City Clerks Office, first floor, City Hall, 1000 City Center Circle, Port Orange, Florida. All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting and voice comments regarding the transaction.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at the above referenced meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings. For such purposes, it may be necessary to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
