NOTICE
The resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted on the 11th day of May, 2026 and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of Amherst, in the County of Erie, New York, is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this Notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the publication of this Notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.

BOND RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF AMHERST, NEW YORK, ADOPTED MAY 11, 2026, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS IN A PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $450,000 TO FINANCE A PORTION OF THE COST OF THE ACQUISITION OF POLICE VEHICLES, STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST THEREOF IS $542,250 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT FOR SUCH PURPOSE, INCLUDING THE EXPENDITURE OF $92,250 FROM AVAILABLE TOWN FUNDS TO PAY A PART OF SAID COST
The object or purpose for which the bonds are authorized is acquisition of Police vehicles, at the estimated maximum cost of $542,250.
The maximum amount of obligations authorized to be issued is $450,000, with $92,250 of said cost to be paid from available Town funds.
The period of probable usefulness is three (3) years.
A complete copy of the Bond Resolution summarized above shall be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Town Clerk, at the Town Hall, 5583 Main Street, Williamsville, New York.
