PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Lake Placid/Town of North Elba Review Board and the Town of North Elba Town Board will hold a joint Public Hearing on a Zoning Reclassification application by Homestead Development Corp. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Town of North Elba Town Hall Third Floor Meeting Room, 2693 Main Street, Lake Placid, New York.
The application is a request to amend the Village of Lake Placid/Town of North Elba Land Use Code (“the Code”) by creating a Planned Development District on a 23.95-acre parcel of land west of Algonquin Drive. The property involved is part of Tax Map Parcel 42.10-1-2.000 and part of Tax Map Parcel 42.32-3-11.000, which are currently in Town Residential and Gateway Corridor districts under the Code.
If the reclassification is approved, any future development will be subject to Review Board jurisdiction and all applicable provisions of the Code. For that reason, the Public Hearing on May 6, 2026, will focus on the Planned Development District reclassification request only.
The application, Review Board Case #1417, is open for inspection by any interested person. All documents are available in the department’s Town Hall office or electronically on the Town Building Department website:

The hearing will be held in person and via teleconference. All interested parties are invited to join the Public Hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
