REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL




RESERVOIR INTAKE REHABILITATION

ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES




PROPOSALS DUE: MAY 7th, 2026, 11:00 AM




The City of Glens Falls is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms to develop design plans and specifications for rehabilitation projects at three (3) raw water reservoir intake structures located on City watershed property. The general scope of services includes field survey, site reconnaissance, intake structure evaluation, geotechnical investigation, design, development of rehabilitation & repair procedures, specification writing, estimating, bid document preparation and bid phase services.




The goal of this project is to preserve, repair, rehabilitate, reinforce and extend the service life of three (3) operational gunite-lined reservoir intakes situated upstream up the City’s water filtration plant.




Prospective proposers are strongly encouraged to attend two (2) pre-proposal meetings on April 21st, 2026 & April 24th, at 10:30 A.M. On these days, attendees will have an opportunity to view each intake reservoir while drained, ask questions, and communicate directly with City staff & intake operators. The consultant selection committee will view proposer attendance at both meetings as favorable and responsive during the proposal review period. Additional details regarding the pre-proposal meetings will be outlined in the RFP.
