NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Sumter County will consider the following subject at a Public Hearing: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SUMTER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF THE QUESTION OF RENEWAL OF 5th AND 6th CENT LOCAL OPTION FUEL TAX ON THE BALLOT FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 3, 2026. This will be heard during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Sumter County on March 10, 2026, which begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be heard at that time or as soon thereafter as it may be heard. The place of the meeting is the Everglades Recreation Center, 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163. Entry to the Recreation Center is through the front door. Persons needing special assistance gaining access to the meeting and hearings or to be heard at the hearing should call 352-689-4400 to make any special arrangements. Notice is given if any person desires to appeal any action taken by the Board at the above hearings, a verbatim record of the proceedings may be necessary and is not prepared or furnished by the Board.
