NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VARIANCE REQUEST
Notice is hereby given that the City of Cedar Key Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a variance request for the property described below:
Applicant: Joe Hand
Property Address: 1018 Whiddon Avenue, Cedar Key, Florida
Parcel ID: 0041900000
Request: The applicant is requesting a variance from the City of Cedar Key Land Development Regulations to allow the existing log cabin structure to remain in the front yard, where it will be converted into an accessory storage building, in connection with the construction of a new FEMA-approved single-family home on the subject property. The request is made to avoid demolition of the existing structure and to accommodate continued temporary residential use during construction.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment and consider approval, approval with conditions, or denial of the requested variance.
All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Written comments may be submitted to City Hall prior to the hearing.
A copy of the application, site plan, and supporting documents (including survey and layout showing the proposed new residence and accessory structure placement as reflected in the application materials) are available for public inspection at City Hall during normal business hours.
This notice is provided in accordance with applicable provisions of the City of Cedar Key Land Development Regulations and Florida Statutes Chapter 119.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing a special accommodation to participate in this proceeding should contact City Hall at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
