NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the West Covina City Council will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1444 West Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, regarding the adoption of the following ordinance relating to spay and neuter and microchipping requirements:
ORDINANCE NO. 2539 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE PORTIONS OF TITLE 10 (ANIMALS) OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO SPAY AND NEUTER AND MICROCHIPPING REQUIREMENTS AND AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (ANIMALS AND FOWL) OF THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE
Copies of the primary code and copies of the secondary codes, if any, are on file with the City Clerk and are open to public inspection.
All persons interested in providing testimony will be given an opportunity to address the City Council during the hearing. Written comments regarding this matter may be mailed to the City Clerk’s Office at 1444 W. Garvey Ave. S., West Covina, CA 91790 or emailed to City_Clerk@westcovina.org . Written comments must be received by 5:00 P.M. on June 2, 2026.
If you wish to challenge the action(s) taken on this matter, you may be limited to raising only those issues raised orally or in written correspondence received by the City at, or before, the hearing.
