DELAWARE COUNTY LOCAL LAW NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Village of Unadilla Notice of Public Hearing PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla will hold a public hearing on April 21, 2026 at 5:30p.m. at the Unadilla Fire Department, 177 Clifton St. Unadilla, New York, to consider the adoption of a proposed Local Law entitled: “LOCAL LAW NO. ___ OF 2026 A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 47 ARTICLE IV SUBSECTION 26 OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF UNADILLA KEEPING ANIMALS OR FOWL” The purpose of this local law is to clarify the types of animals permitted within the Village and to establish reasonable standards for the keeping of poultry, including limits on number, enclosure requirements, sanitation standards, and a permit process to ensure compliance. These regulations are intended to protect neighboring properties from nuisance conditions while allowing limited poultry keeping in a manner compatible with the residential character of the Village. A copy of the proposed local law is available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk during normal business hours.
