NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING
The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on February 16, 2026, at 5:00 P.M at The Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163 to consider the following application:

PARCEL NO. 18, Unit II, CROOM-A-COOCHEE ESTATES, as per unrecorded plat and according to existing markers, otherwise known as follows: Commencing at the W 1/4 corner of Section 14, Township 22 South, Range 21 East, Sumter County, Florida; go thence N.002243 W., along the West line of said Section 14, a distance of 725.00 feet; thence N.894036 E., a distance of 186.99 feet; thence N.002243 W., a distance of 263.63 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continue N.002243E. a distance of 117.02 feet; thene N. 892323 W., a distance of 137.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Requested Action: Rezoning on 0.37 acres MOL from Urban Residential Minimum One Fourth-Acre with Conventional Housing (R4C) to Urban Residential Minimum One Fourth-Acre with Mobile Home Housing(R4M) to permit one (1) Mobile Home on the property.
The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master will be presented to the Board of Sumter County Commissioners at a Public Hearing on March 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163.
The proposed change may be inspected by the public at the Planning and Floodplain Division, The Villages Sumter County Service Center, 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays.

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any action taken by an above named Board respect to any matter considered during any meeting of such Board, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record may include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
Only those persons receiving mailed notice in accordance with the requirements of Sec 13-314 of the Sumter County Land Development Code shall be qualified as affected persons for the purpose of examining witnesses during the noted hearings.
